ARVs save the lives of children suffering with AIDS, but not every health clinic is capable of delivering this complicated series of medicines to children. Before they are approved as partners, all of the clinics we work with undergo a comprehensive evaluation process to determine their capacity and readiness to effectively deliver ARVs to children.
Once the evaluation and partnership approval process has been completed, PAC conducts ongoing monitoring and receives regular reports from our partners to make sure that all aspects of the programs we support are functioning properly. A site visit, partnership agreement review, needs assessment review, and a shipping and pharmacy audit are conducted each year. An overall program review is conducted at least every three years.
By making sure that our partner clinics are meeting and maintaining these high standards, PAC also makes sure that our resources (and donor dollars) are used in the most effective ways possible.
